Christine Conover concluded her second term on June 30 where she served as an elected lawyer member of the Iowa State Judicial Nominating Commission (ISJNC) for the past 10 years. The ISJNC is composed of eight commissioners elected by lawyers and nine appointed members. The role of ISJNC is to nominate candidates for the Iowa Supreme Court and Iowa Court of Appeals as openings arise. The Governor makes the final selection among the three candidates nominated by the ISJNC to serve as a justice or judge on Iowa’s appellate courts.

Ms. Conover is a medical malpractice attorney with extensive experience defending claims against healthcare providers, clinics and hospitals throughout the state. In addition, she represents licensed medical professionals on licensing and disciplinary issues. Ms. Conover is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. She also serves on the board of directors at Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman PLC.
