Annie Hardin is an accomplished litigation attorney with a decade of experience representing clients in complex civil and commercial disputes. Based in her hometown of Cedar Rapids, she focuses her practice on business and commercial litigation, insurance defense and coverage, transportation law, premises liability, and medical malpractice defense.

Annie spent a significant portion of her legal career as in-house counsel for State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company in Chicago, where she led five jury trials to verdict in Cook County—one of the nation's most demanding trial jurisdictions. That experience sharpened her litigation skills and deepened her expertise in high-exposure insurance and liability matters.

Through a strategic mindset and meticulous preparation, Annie develops efficient, results-driven defense strategies tailored to each client's goals. She has successfully defended claims involving contractual disputes, construction negligence, premises liability at commercial properties, professional negligence by medical providers and institutions, and personal injury arising from motor vehicle and trucking accidents. She is particularly skilled at translating complex technical issues into clear, persuasive arguments.

Since being admitted to the Iowa Bar in 2023, Annie continues to serve clients in both state and federal courts. Her practice is defined by strong courtroom presence, sound judgment, and commitment to client advocacy.

Annie earned her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the Journal of Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems. She holds a B.A., summa cum laude, from DePaul University. Annie is an active member of the Iowa State Bar Association, Linn County Bar Association, and DRI – The Voice of the Defense Bar, and serves on the board of directors for CSPS Hall, Inc. She is licensed in Iowa and Illinois.
