Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman PLC Welcomes 2025 Summer Associates

Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman PLC is pleased to welcome five law students to its 2025 Summer Associate Program: Morgan Hebert, Michael Moran, Nicholas Downey, Elizabeth Wiesman, and Alex Hefel. Each year, the firm invites aspiring lawyers to participate in our Summer Associate program. This program provides unique insights into multiple practice areas and helps students build practical skills before returning to law school in the Fall.

MORGAN HEBERT | Hometown: Solon, IA
Morgan is a rising third-year student at the University of Iowa College of Law and serves as a student writer for the Iowa Law Review. She previously worked as a legal assistant supporting criminal defense and trial work in Iowa City.

MICHAEL MORAN | Hometown: Davenport, IA
Michael recently completed his first year at the University of Iowa College of Law. He holds dual degrees in Business Analytics and Sport and Recreation Management from the University of Iowa. He brings experience in data analytics, consulting, and business operations.

NICHOLAS DOWNEY | Hometown: Kansas City, KS
Nicholas will be entering his third year at Drake Law School, where he is a Law Review member. He earned his BS in Economics from the University of Iowa and is particularly interested in business and estate law.

ELIZABETH WIESMAN | Hometown: Appleton, WI
Elizabeth is a third-year student at the University of Iowa College of Law. Prior to law school, Elizabeth worked in education in Onalaska, WI. Her legal interests include litigation, healthcare, and family law.​​​​​​​

ALEX HEFEL | Hometown: Dubuque, IA
Alex is a rising third-year student at the University of Iowa College of Law. He received dual undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Economics from the University of Iowa and earned a Certificate in Political Risk Analysis. His legal interests focus on business transactions, corporate law, and supporting startup development.
