Eric Langston Elected to Orchestra Iowa Board of Directors
Orchestra Iowa recently held their annual meeting where they elected Eric Langston to serve a three-year term on the board of directors. Founded in 1921, Orchestra Iowa is widely recognized as the state’s premier symphony orchestra. Mr. Langston has always been passionate about music, playing the violin, clarinet, and alto and baritone saxophone throughtout his childhood. While in college, he sang with the Galesburg Community Chorus and served on their board of directors. He then sang with the DePaul Community Chorus for four years prior to joining the Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale upon returning to Cedar Rapids from Chicago in 2019.
Mr. Langston is an attorney with Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman PLC where he represents clients in complex commercial real estate transactions and with creditors’ rights issues in bankruptcy. He is very active in the Cedar Rapids community, volunteering his time in various activities relating to civil justice and community enhancement.
